Another stage, another start.

I'm quite tired from my second big day of baking school. However, if I ever start a new journal, now's the best moment there is.
What to say about school? I can't believe what I've learned in a week. I can't believe how hard this journey will make my life if I don't keep an attentive eye on my progress. I can't believe how little you can prepare yourself after ever so much trouble learning and reading and writing and trying to learn. I can't believe how much you can prepare yourself, how quickly, when nothing but straightforward, brutal honesty is dealt with swift hand and the sporadic expletive. And I have not baked a thing.
Sweet layers of excruciating humility, indulgent faint-heartedness and total anonymity is the perfect bed tonight! I'll leave off with a scrounged up quote from The Wind and the Willows: "I name no names- the good, bad and indifferent."
